Whole Grain Walnut Trail Mix

Here is a trail mix that includes puffed whole-grain cereal that can stretch out our grazing time, and make it last longer without blowing your healthy eating.  And the addition of dark chocolate will only extend your satisfaction!

 

Ingredients

1 cup lightly toasted walnuts (halves or coarsely chopped)

1/4 cup raisins

1/4 cup dried cherries

3-1/2 cups unsweetened whole-grain puffed cereal

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips – or broken pieces of dark chocolate

Directions

Combine everything, and store in a zip-style bag (or individual single-serving bags) in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
